Foreword

I am writing this blog so that I can have it printed in book form when it is finished, to leave behind a small record of a big part of my life, an important part, a life-changing part.

Memory is a strange thing, often playing tricks. So as I write this blog more than forty years later, it is possible that some descriptions may not be entirely accurate. It is however how I remember things and as I am not a time-traveler I cannot go back to verify the accuracy of my descriptions.
